Campton Baptist Church
A bit about us

Centrally located at the foot of the White Mountains and just north of the Lakes Region and Plymouth, Campton Baptist Church is situated in the heart of picturesque Campton, New Hampshire. Whether you descend from generations of Campton locals, you are new to the area, or you are visiting for a weekend, we welcome you to join us as we worship our Risen King! Our Sunday morning services are followed by a time of fellowship in our vestry. You will find a map and directions on our contact page. We are handicapped accessible.

Come, worship with us Sunday mornings at 10:00 am.

Our Pastor: Rev. Michael Pelletier

Reverend Michael Pelletier has been the pastor of Campton Baptist Church since November 13, 2016.
Pastor Mike is a semi-retired business person for whom a career in ministry came later in life. For close to ten years he served as a volunteer who counseled and ministered to men in the jails and prison system of NH. He later became a church pastor serving as an interim in Richford, VT and Springfield, VT and has been providing pulpit supply to churches in the VT/NH region. His vision as a pastor is that a church must be relevant in the community from which it draws its support if it is to survive. To do this we must become committed to our community and we must strive to have an active and effective involvement. We cannot help a world that is sleeping in the dark if we, ourselves, are asleep in the light.

Pastor Mike enjoys the great outdoors as well as tinkering with old ham radios.

About Marie... Originally from Farmington, NH, Marie is a commercial lender at a local communty bank where she has been employed for more than thirty years. Despite the demands of her job, she somehow finds the time to adorn our property with beautiful plants and flowers as well as grow great vegetables in our garden. And although she won't admit it, she is a very skilled quilter. Marie is also very practical. For Christmas one year she asked for a new snow shovel. Another year she asked for a chain saw. She's definitely a keeper!!!

Together, Michael and Marie have three sons; Michael and Jacob who live locally, and Daniel who lives in Colorado.

Our Music Director: Rosemary Gennaro

Rosemary earned a degree in music from Immaculata University in 1954 and a Master of Arts in Education from Rowan University in 1970. She has been an organist and choir director in many churches in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Cherry Hill, New Jersey since 1954. Mrs. Gennaro was also an educator for thirty-six years and retired in 1997 as Deputy Superintendent of the Pennsauken, New Jersey Public Schools. Rosemary is the mother of four children and resides in Plymouth with her son, Victor. Rosemary is a very vibrant music director in our church family.

Our Purpose Statement:

The purpose of Campton Baptist Church shall be the advancement of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ. This church shall seek to attain this end through the public worship of God, the preaching of the Gospel of Christ, consistent Christian living by its members, personal evangelism, missionary endeavors, and Christian education.

Our Mission Statement:

We, the faithful community of Campton Baptist Church, are committed to Jesus Christ and His Church. Our mission is to love God with all our heart, mind, and soul, live the gospel, share the Good News, and minister to others in our congregation, community, and in all God's world.

We are a member of the American Baptist Churches of Vermont and New Hampshire, a chapter of the American Baptist Churches of the United States. The church was founded in 1811 and built in 1826. The baptismal, which features the splendid work of the accomplished artist Herbert Waters, was added in 1954 and Pastor Bolster was one of the first to be baptized there when his father was the pastor of Campton Baptist Church!

Our vestry is ideal for events for 35-70 people, and is available for local groups. Please call the church for information regarding using the vestry for your event.
